U-pick offering: Would you like to visit the farm for a casual walk and CSA member u-pick? We have an abundance of flowers and vegetables suitable for u-pick and would love to see you. Sign up for a U-Pick for CSA members time slot here. We are offering two Friday morning u-pick time slots and a Tuesday morning CSA harvest helper drop-in slot. Space is more limited on Tuesday, sign up soon. U-pick flowers, basil, cherry tomatoes, tomatillos, peppers, corn stalks for decorating, and more are available. The first bouquet or pint of anything is complimentary and beyond that we'll have reasonable u-pick pricing listed with a QR code and cash box for you to pay on -site. Harvest helper drop-in is a little different, for that you work alongside us to harvest that week's Crop Share and we send you home with a full CSA share and/or bulk extras. The sign-up page in the event section of our website has more information. See you on the farm!

Vacation credits to use up? The absolute easiest way to use credits is to use them towards a Fall CSA share if you have not signed up for one already. If you have, the next best way to use those credits is toward an add-on to your weekly box. Order from the CSA Store at the CSA online store link at least three days before your delivery.

Fall Harvest Potluck Party Saturday October 3rd, 4pm: Mark your calendars for our annual fall crop share holder and farm community harvest party on the farm. Connect with your farm, farmers and fellow food lovers. Live music, prizes for potluck dishes, popcorn making. farm art. RSVP link coming soon.

What's In My Box?

The difference between small and fulls this week is that smalls have less weight of potatoes, peppers, tomatoes and do not have have zucchini and green beans.

Shishito Mild Peppers 0.5 lb/ 0.8lb I would call these a sweet pepper, you'll read that one in ten shishitos has some heat. I've eaten hundreds and the percent with any heat is negligible! If you find a mildy hot one let us know.

Fingerling Potatoes 1 lb / 1.5 lbs

Bonus: #2 grade red onion ~1 ct lots more #1 onions to come, these ones are from a section of the field that went to flower before we could harvest the crop. A center stem will appear; the rest of the onion is perfectly fine.

Salad lovers only salad add-on: 1 ct butterhead + 1 ct romaine this week. Usual salanova mix will return early September.

!! Reminder: Eggs for egg lovers at Bloch and Farm pick up sites -- get your eggs if the sign off list says you ordered eggs :)

ABOUT PICKING UP YOUR CSA

Bring your own bag. Pick up at your pickup location and day (Wednesday or Friday) from 12-6pm. If you ordered an add-on, it will be packed in a separate labeled tote.

HOW TO PICK UP YOUR CSA

#1: Sign-in! the golden rule

Find & Sign-off your name on the sign-in sheet each week and please ONLY take the items listed next to your name.

This vital step helps ensure everyone goes home happy, including our site hosts and farmers, week after week.

#2: Locate your shares

Boxes are labeled as Small or Full. Summer Salad Lover Add-on shares are in a large tote labeled "Salad Add-ons"

#3: Unpack your tote & stack the empties

Please bring your own reusable shopping bag to transport your items - we’ll pick the totes up next week for reuse! We can use them for multiple seasons, reducing waste one box at a time.

USING THE WEEKLY SWAP BOX?

Swap boxes are green with flowers painted on them. Swap boxes are labeled and will stand out! If your pickup site has a swap box, please feel free to swap an item you may not want in your box with an item in the provided and specifically-labeled SWAP BOX. Please limit the swaps to one item for one item per week.

UNABLE TO FIND AN ITEM?

(Please do not supplement it with something else!) Contact the farm directly before taking something else. The sooner you reach out the sooner your item may be located.

SOMEONE ELSE PICKING UP FOR YOU?

(Please share all the details of how to pick up with them BEFORE they attempt to pick up -- BYO bag, take from the right size box, check off the right name). Friends and family picking up for others is the number one cause of pickup mistakes, and we thank you in advance for your consideration.

VACATIONS

Every CSA member can put their share on hold in trade for a $20 credit per week, up to two. Login to your account and select your vacation dates or email us. Please request your vacation at least three days in advance to receive the credit.

REDEEMING YOUR VACATION CREDIT

Go to our Online Store to see availability for add-ons this week and to double check the value of your credit. You'll need to login to see your credit amount. In the 2025 season you can use your vacation credits to purchase add-ons electronically or apply the credit to a Fall Share. But as always, you can also just email the farm. Thanks!
