Copy of Week 24 of 25- October 23st (FRI) 2026

On the farm  this week were cleaning garlic, picking lots of leafy greens, packing lots of onions and squash, getting fields prepared for cover crop seed, and relishing in a lot of "lasts" for the season. The last of the peppers, tomatoes and flowers are getting harvested. The plant remnants will soon be worked back into the soil or will be removed from the field and composted. Meanwhile we are ushering a few "firsts" including the first of the fall bok choy, radishes and spinach.

We have just one more week of our main season CSA! We offer two extensions to your Crop Share this year, sign up for both is open now. the Fall CSA includes four weekly Crop Share deliveries during November.

the Holiday CSA Box is a single delivery the second week of December to stock up for the winter. The holiday box is entirely customizable or you can choose the farmers choice box.

Sign up in Farmigo soon so we can plan ahead by logging in to Farmigo here and ordering these add-ons. You can pay via Farmigo or by check, credits and SNAP benefits can be used. Contact us if you have any questions.

Enjoy!

What's In My Box?

The difference between small and fulls this week is a lot. Smalls have less weight of bulk items and have radishes and collards. Fulls have more weight of bulk items and have turnip greens and broccoli or broccoli relative (or cauliflower or romanesco) instead of radishes and collards.

small share/ full share

Poblano "Chocoblano" Peppers  ~.75 lb / 1.25lb

These are what we call poblano peppers that have turned a chocolate brown, they are just as good or better in our opinion. Roast them and blend them into a soup or creamy sauce or stuff them with rice, beans and honeynut squash.

These are a speciality winter squash that we grow, a butternut variety that is smaller and sweeter.

Roma Tomatoes 2 ct/ 3 ct

Bok Choy 1 ct

Brussel Sprouts 1 stalk

ABOUT PICKING UP YOUR CSA

Bring your own bag. Pick up at your pickup location and day (Wednesday or Friday) from 12-6pm. If you ordered an add-on, it will be packed in a separate labeled tote.

HOW TO PICK UP YOUR CSA

#1: Sign-in! the golden rule

Find & Sign-off your name on the sign-in sheet each week and please ONLY take the items listed next to your name.

This vital step helps ensure everyone goes home happy, including our site hosts and farmers, week after week.

#2: Locate your shares

Boxes are labeled as Small or Full. Summer Salad Lover Add-on shares are in a large tote labeled "Salad Add-ons"

#3: Unpack your tote & stack the empties

Please bring your own reusable shopping bag to transport your items - we’ll pick the totes up next week for reuse! We can use them for multiple seasons, reducing waste one box at a time.

USING THE WEEKLY SWAP BOX?

Swap boxes are green with flowers painted on them. Swap boxes are labeled and will stand out! If your pickup site has a swap box, please feel free to swap an item you may not want in your box with an item in the provided and specifically-labeled SWAP BOX. Please limit the swaps to one item for one item per week.

UNABLE TO FIND AN ITEM?

(Please do not supplement it with something else!) Contact the farm directly before taking something else. The sooner you reach out the sooner your item may be located.

SOMEONE ELSE PICKING UP FOR YOU?

(Please share all the details of how to pick up with them BEFORE they attempt to pick up -- BYO bag, take from the right size box, check off the right name). Friends and family picking up for others is the number one cause of pickup mistakes, and we thank you in advance for your consideration.
